The collection contains microfilm copies of the floor plans and elevations of the Hayes, Jones and Bertrand & Chamberlin work (35 mm reel and aperture cards), and a photocopy of the specifications. Originals are in the possession of the Temple.

Jones, the son of a Baptist clergyman, was born in Schoolcraft, Michigan on June 9, 1859. He attended Brown University for two years, then transferred to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and graduated from MIT in 1882. The original structure, Fowler Methodist Episcopal Church, was designed by architect Warren H. Hayes in 1894. Later additions were made in 1906 and 1918 by Harry W. The Scottish Rite Temple is a large stone and brick structure that began as Fowler Methodist Episcopal Church, designed by Warren H. Hayes in 1894.
